*Just Another Haul* Inglot, MAC, Smashbox, Nivea Lipbutter & Seche Vite

Inglot Eyeshadow, Eyeshadow Brush and Gel LinerHiii everyone!
Okaaaay so it's Friday again huh?! Where does time go, seriously!!!!
I haven't been feeling my best the last two weeks and I notice it right away because it means I'm not able to spend as much time on my blog, which sucks, because I love it so much!
Since I've just been staying at home and not been doing any makeup looks or anything on here I have just been going around bare faced. I've been using my Shiseido IBUKI skincare twice a day for just over a week now and all I can say is that it is amazing! I can't wait to document this, I actually think I'm gonna be brave enough to put some real honest pictures on here... I just hope it continues like this :)

Manicure of the Week - OPI Mariah Carey Winter Holiday Collection - Liquid Sand "Silent Stars Go By".

OPI Mariah Carey Winter Holiday Collection Silent Stars Go By Liquid Sand Nailpolish
After having dark nail polish on for months now I needed some change and I was debating wether going for just a nice nude like "Tickle My France-Y" or a darker nude like "You Don't Know Jacques!".
Theeeen I found this beautiful thing and I am in l.o.v.e.
First I thought I was going to annoy myself to death with the liquid sand texture, and yes it was a bit weird the first hours, but now I don't mind it at all!

MILANI Black Cherry Lipstick *Swatches & Review*

Oh my, are we talking new lipstick favorites? I think we do ;-) Also another nice shade for Autumn/Winter :)

Hi guys :)

I can't believe it's already Saturday, again! Jeeeez, the weeks just fly by so quickly! Before I know it it's Christmas! I'm reminded of it everyday now as the Christmas presents I ordered online are starting to arrive, one by one, day by day ;-) Tonight I just wanted to share a makeup look I did today! I haven't been on my laptop all day, I've had plenty of other stuff to do - and this look :) Feels good too though, not spending every minute of the day in front my Mac, haha :)
Now I am just going to curl up in bed, maybe with a hot chocolate (Brittany's recipe;)) and watch some X-Files :))

Happy Friday!

How are you? Do you have any fun plans this weekend?
As usual my only plans are to relax, but I might try to get a friend to come with me to the movies tomorrow! I did some lipstick swatches today, so I have 7 new shades coming up one by one in the near future ;-) Also decided to start doing a log on my Shiseido skin care adventure, that way I can give a really honest and thorough review when I'm done with the products!

I did a lot of swatching today but I'm gonna go with these photos for my FOTD :) I'm wearing MAC Vino lipliner and Chanel Glossimer 176 Crushed Cherry here. Don't ask what's up with my hand, a pose gone wrong I guess, but my face looked ok sooooo yeah haha! :) Oh, and I also did my roots today! Feels sooo good :) The pink is gone, but I can always go back later :)

Purchases from Shiseido Event - Shiseido IBUKI Refining Moisturizer, Cleanser & Softener + Dior Addict Lipsticks.

Hi everyone!

Today I've been running some errands and I visited my colleagues at work which was so nice! I bought some stuff to get my blog notebook organized (I'm a notebook-addict) and I actually managed to buy some clothes. Only basic stuff, but nice basic stuff. I've been wearing too much sweatpants and oversized sweaters lately I just had to..

Last night I attended a Shiseido makeup/skincare event together with my mum and sister. It was hosted at the local perfumery and it was a fun get-together :)

Shiseido IbUKI Skincare, Dior Addict lipstick

The Shiseido consultant talked a little about their skincare and some of their makeup. And of course there were some discounts for us who attended - YAY!

I love Shiseido lipsticks, they are absolutely amazing, but I was more interested in picking up some of their skincare this time. I thought it was a great opportunity as the discount would make it a little easier to "splurge" on items like these. Even though it's not a splurge - it's my skin!

I don't know too much about Shiseido skincare (I'm only familiar with their pore minimizing cream) so I asked for advice on what to use on my acne suffering skin.
The lady recommended the IBUKI series, a day and night moisturizer which should be a perfect match for acne skin. I really wanted the cleanser and softener too, but of course they didn't have it.
What they did have though, was that huge red box which contained a full size hand cream (don't really need more hand cream though) and mini sized softener (15ml), mini sized cleanser (30ml) and mini sized moisturizer "enriched". The enriched cream is not suitable for acne skin as it is a heavier cream, so I won't be using that. I grabbed the box as it was pretty cheap and I can try the products out and buy the full sized ones if I feel they make a difference to my skin :)

So far I've only used the products twice and all I can say is that I really, really love the smell (the smell of clean soap). And I don't know if it was a coincidence, but when I woke up this morning my skin was really soft and my acne was extremely calm, my skin tone was SO even I can't even describe what joy I felt. I mean, no my acne wasn't gone, but my skin had an even color, it wasn't all red and flamey and it actually felt smooth!

I'm going to use this products for a while longer before I feel comfortable doing a whole review. It might just be a coincidence that my skin was so nice today so I won't get my hopes up too high.

I also grabbed two Dior Addict lipsticks, I kinda regret buying one of them, but.. I've already tried it on and yeah.. It's a nice color, great for everyday brown/nude lips, I'm just left with the feeling I didn't really need it and I don't get that feeling too often, hehe! Will do a swatch/review post on them both of course :)

And then the purse! I had some money from my birthday, and I figured I wanted to used them on this! It was really cute and even though I have a ton of purses/bags I don't actually have a nice one for parties/nicer occasions. With the discount it came out pretty cheap as well :)

Do you have any experience with Shiseido skin care?

MOTD/FOTD Smashbox Smokebox Makeup Look & MAC Currant + Milani Violet Volt LOTD

I don't know where to begin with this palette, like, I bought it yesterday and I already love it so much I don't know what I've been doing without it!!

I'm gonna give you a quick look so you know what I'm talking about :) I really want to do a whole review/swatch post on this palette, but I won't make it today as I am going on a Shiseido makeup event kinda thing with my mum and sis tonight! :)
I'm sorry for the short post, but as always I'm in a hurry ha-ha :) I'm crossing my fingers that I'll be back in time for #bbloggers chat!

Autumn/Winter Essentials For My Hands

*My blog design is under construction:)*

Luckily I am not of those who struggle with extremely dry skin or eczema or something like that, but I tend to get quite dry and itchy hands during the Autumn/Winter months. Much is because I spend most of my days with my hands in water because of my job, I also react to the gloves I usually wear at work.

Since I don't work right now I have noticed a clear change and my hands are much better than they would normally be around this time, but I still treat them with different lotions to prevent any breakouts :)

Also we have had very mild weather lately, a lot of rain! I guess around Christmas time it will change and be down in perhaps -20 degrees, if not more. If you add cold wind as well it means it's not very good for your hands! Your hands and your face needs extra care during such extreme conditions as those are the parts of your body having least protection in form of clothes.

I have a few favorites:

This cream is for dry/very dry and damaged hands. It has a very thick formula and offers intense hydration to seal in moisture and restore the skin's natural barrier.I find the fragrance pleasing and it is supposed to be tolerated by sensitive skin. However, when my hands are VERY dry and sore it can feel a bit stingy. My number one advice for restoring your sore hands is to use this during the night.

Cotton Gloves. (£2.59)
When I want to restore my dry and damaged hands I simply put on a very thick layer of cream on both hands and then put on some cotton gloves (I bought mine at the pharmacy). Then I sleep with it over night. It might feel a bit funny, and it sure does look funny - but I can assure you I wake up with the softest hands and it doesn't take more than one-two nights until my hands are completely restored! Oh and btw, this is awesome to do with your feet as well! You can use any sock you want, but cotton socks is best.

TOKYOMILK / Bon Bon Shea butter Lotion No. 10 Honey & The Moon. ($20)
Key Ingredients: Japanese Green Tea, Mimosa Bark and Dandelion with rich Shea Butter.Subtly sweet: Honey, Sugared Violet, Jasmine & Sandalwood

Key Ingredients: Japanese Green Tea, Mimosa Bark and Dandelion with rich Shea Butter.
Romantic & Ethereal: Deep Vanilla, Exotic Wood, White Orchid, Ebony.

These two are more for daily, everyday use. It's the perfect hand lotion to bring with you in your bag and they look very cool! They both smell amazing and the scent stays on your hands for some time, I really like that:) It gives a lot of moisture and my hands feel very soft and nice after using it. This is a lotion, it has a thinner formula and is easy to apply. It absorbs quickly into my skin and it doesn't feel sticky or oily. I can't get over how cute the packaging are!

Soap & Glory Hand Food. (Travel Size $5)

Another everyday use hand cream! This is a non-greasy cream and contains shea butter, macadamia oil and ...marshmallows? The packaging is so cute, and it smells heavenly!I'm a huge fan of Soap & Glory and this is a product I find myself repurchasing over and over.

Coconut Oil. ($3.91)

A cheap and nice alternative. I like keeping my skin moisturized using coconut oil and it is something I always have lying around. I tend to put it in my hair before I go to bed and I will also rub it on my hands. I guess this is perfect for very sensitive skin, 100% pure oil and no fragrance whatsoever. This is from Thailand and it is soon all gone! The timing couldn't be better though as this 100% pure oil doesn't last that long.

This smells so good! A nice sweet almond scent. It says it's for all skin types, so to me this is more a everyday lotion. It moisturizes hands and nails - which is a bonus since it's so important to treat your nails as well :)
As you can see I've used this quite a bit, I used to bring it to work and it is perfect for that because it is a very thin lotion, it absorbs quickly and it does not leave your hands sticky.

This is a super-creamy balm, and it penetrates quickly to protect, nourish and moisturize you hands.
It has Shea butter in it, and for some reason I love everything with Shea butter. It also contains honey, almond extract and coconut oil! It has a light perfumed scent to it and it does not leave any oily residue on you hands :)

I have not used this too much, mainly because I have so many favorites it is hard to use them all, ha-ha!
How I got his is actually a funny story, I was on my way home from Thailand and I was buying some stuff in the taxfree and I spent way too much money. As I was packing up my stuff I suddenly saw this lying there, with all of my stuff, that I just payed for.
They always have this brand lying around everywhere at the airport and I thought that either a) it's free, some sort of campaign, I've spent too much money and I get a free product.. or b) somebody forgot it, that means it's free, it's kinda mean, but.... but, free, and it's lying there with all of my stuff which I kinda think is because of a).

I didn't bother to ask, so of course I just packed it with all of my other stuff. And I was super happy since I got a free product, seriously! When did I become so lucky!?
I was like OMG I JUST GOT THIS SUPEREXPENSIVE HAND CREAM FOR FREE OHMYGOSH!
When I got home, I packed out all of my new stuff and I was ready to admire them as I always do when I buy nice beauty products.
When I spend way too much money I rarely look at the receipt as that is just cruel. But this time, I did, and to my HORROR - what was on the bottom of that freaking receipt? Costing me $32?! (it is more expensive in Norway)
KARMA!!!! It must have already been lying at the desk, or the woman behind the cash register tricked me! I don't know, all I know is that I payed $32 for a hand cream I never thought of buying :)

Oh well, I can always use another hand cream ;)

Skincare Formula 10.0.6 Acne Treatment *Review* & a fun Chanel Lipgloss Treat.

I recently had to get a new foaming cleanser for my face and as usual I ended up with a few extra items too..;-)

1. Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer, Color Correcting Adjust. ($38)
Green-toned to reduce redness.

I am not completely convinced by the Smashbox Adjust Primer yet, I really wanted it to work but it doesn't do miracles for me, sadly.
I'm gonna give it a week and if I don't see any clear changes I will stop thinking it is a "adjusting" primer for "reducing redness" and just think of it as a regular primer. I just can't take the disappointment every time I use it...:(

2. Formula 10.0.6 Rescue Me Blemish Care Anti-Imperfections Gel.

One of the few products I still haven't tried from this series yet. I usually don't let products with that exact purpose get to me because I find them rarely to work for my skin. However I have such positive experience with this brand so I wanted to give it a try.
I can swear it calmed down my acne and I will continue to use this every day:)

3. Formula 10.0.6 Best Face Forward Daily Foaming Cleanser. ($5.99)

It's the third time I'm repurchasing this and from now on I am going to make sure I never run empty again without having a back up! I am sure this actually does work for my skin and it might not be a miracle cure, but if it can help keep my skin/acne on a balanced level I will be ok with that:)

4. Chanel Glossimer 176 Crushed Cherry Lipgloss (£21)
5. Chanel Glossimer 175 Savage Grace Lipgloss (£21)

These two glosses was this hauls fun products! I was honestly looking for a purple Dior gloss from the Fall collection - it was sold out of course. Since the disappointment was to huge to handle, I needed to buy these to be able to drive back home;)
They are absolutely stunning and so perfect for everything *oh my gosh*.
I couldn't decide which one to get, the colors isn't too far from each other but one of them has glitter and the other has not. Reason enough to get both of them. I'm sorry:)
I have to admit the colors were a bit hard to capture on camera, but you should know by now I'm going to do a whole post dedicated to these delicious looking glosses anyway - so fear not, detailed swatch post is coming up ;-)

A little about the skincare products: As some of you are aware I complain a lot about my struggle with acne, and it isn't for no reason. The last couple of months has just been crazy. Just when I hope it is going to calm down, I get all excited and then suddenly it has broken out even worse. When it actually does calm down for maybe a couple of days it doesn't really help because I'm left with scars and red marks that is not going to go away. And then the next day it's back all agressive, sore and fiery again.
I have stopped asking for advice because I just have to accept that it is actually a skin disease, one that lives it's own life, on it's own premises.
I don't eat crap, I don't drink, I don't smoke, OK so I don't work out that freaking much but I refuse to believe that is the reason I have acne. I'm stressed out and yeah I know that can make it worse, but come on.
I remove my makeup every night. I cleanse my face morning and night, everyday, I don't use oily creams and I moisturize and the days I don't have to wear makeup I don't.  Blah blah blah blah.
Why, god, why.

I know this is something that is easy to relate to for you who struggle with acne too, and that is why the few times I actually come across products that I feel helps me out just a liiittle bit, I'm gonna share it:)

I have talked about this brand before, and it is in no way a miracle product (I refuse to use that word), but I feel I can actually see a slight difference when using these products.
So I used this Everyday Foaming Cleanser during this summer (a time when my acne is much better in general) and it just "recently" (about 2 months ago) got empty. I didn't get a new one right away because it's not available in my town where I live. Instead I bought the Effaclar Cleanser (review coming up when it is used up).
I've lost count, but I think it was about 2 months ago when I started having these bad breakouts.. I'm not saying it was purely because I stopped using the Everyday Foaming Cleanser, but who knows. However I suddenly realized this and went to buy a new one right away.
I won't say this is a miracle brand, and I won't say it has everything to do with this (my skin can easily play tricks with me - changing from the one day to the other) but I will say that the few days I've used this now I have felt a difference..

I had a very agressive and fiery breakout the other day, I took the Rescue Me! Blemish Care on before I went to bed and I can swear it felt a lot more calmed down the next morning, it even felt like it had dried out a little bit too. It is a clear gel with a very pleasing scent. It doesn't feel stingy on my skin, and a little goes a long way!
*
*
*
...All I am dreaming about lately is to leave for a sunny holiday :) I hope to manage a trip to perhaps Thailand or something in about 4 months.. It's amazing what a relaxing trip like that can do to you, to your mind, your soul, not to mention what it can do to your skin. Ah I am seriously longing for clear skin right now. And my mind can also seriously need some positive recharging.

Life Update - No More Christmas Shopping Stress!

Pastel Pink Hair

Hiii guys!

Happy weekend!

Are you all doing well? :-)

I was looking forward to a whole day of just relaxing, reading blogs and replying to my comments today (my favorite thing to do on a Saturday) but it didn't turn out just like that!

Howeveeeeer...

I'm so freaking proud of myself today!

I kinda feel I have wasted my whole day in front of the computer, but I have in fact never been more effective!

I have not visited one single blog, and not replied to any comments - it's kinda sad but I had to refrain from the temptation (once I get started I'll be doing it for hours).

Can you guess what I have accomplished?

*
*

I have SERIOUSLY managed to buy ALL my Christmas gifts online today!
Do you know what that means?

I can actually ENJOY CHRISTMAS!!! I can enjoy Christmas SHOPPING!!

I can go around and have a nice time while buying the few things that are left, and enjoy it! I can have a good time while going (not running as I always do) around at the shopping mall looking for presents!

I don't think I've ever really done that.. I always end up being super desperate and stressed out about these gifts, even though I love it.

I love buying Christmas gifts, it's one of my favorite activities! So it's so sad that I every year manage to destroy that pleasure...

But not this year!

I even managed to keep everything on a reasonable budget level.. What an accomplishment! Hehe:)

Since I have saved myself the time of running around town looking for gifts, it means I can put some effort in doing a Christmas Gift Guide post/series! I've already come up with some good ideas.

I will be using the people I'm buying to as inspiration, but I can't reveal any of the things I've actually bought of course as I have a few of my friends and family reading my blog ;)

Since I've only stayed indoors all day in front of my laptop I didn't really care to put any makeup on, decided it was good to let my skin breathe :) So I hope you don't mind another picture from yesterday! I did another round of hair dye today and it's a little more pink now :-)))

It's now 23:40, it's bedtime and I want coffee....... What to do?

I guess I'll be watching a couple of episodes of Nashville season 2 before I go to sleep, does anyone of you watch that show? I randomly watched the three first episodes of season 1 on the plane to Florida this summer.. I've been hooked on it since;)

How are you all doing with the Christmas Gift Shopping?

Pastel Pink Hair
How To Get Pastel Pink Hair
Pastel Pink Hair

I just had to share this with you today and I hope you don´t mind two posts in a row ;)

So I had to remove my tape extensions two days ago - such a boring process. Not to mention sad, realizing I would have to go around with my own natural hair to let it breath for a while..
While I have to give my hair a rest from extensions I figured why not do something fun with what I have :) Sooo I dyed it PASTEL PINK!
I´ve been considering it ever since I got back to blonde, but never dared to to it whole heartedly..
As you can see I have some cm with roots showing and for some reason the color wouldn´t absorb into my ends! I have to do another round of dye tomorrow :)
I don´t mind it looking a little uneven as I have to do my roots soon anyway, and it´s not permanent and only lasts for 3 washes - so it´s nothing that´s gonna last forever:)
Even though it´s not the bravest of change, it´s a fun change!

Here´s my Makeup of the Day & Lips of the Day:)

Yesterday´s Lips of the Day (LOTD) - MAC Nightmoth & YSL Golden Gloss *Fall Series*

A short post of yesterday´s lips:)

This is another Fall favorite of mine!

I lined my lips with MAC Nightmoth and filled them with YSL Golden Gloss #2 Golden Praline Rosy Mauve.

I like this because it gives a much softer look than with ex. a darker matte lipstick! But it´s easy to build up the color, just fill in even more of your lips with Nightmoth!
It´s also super nice to use over a darker lipstick like for example MAC Diva.

I think YSL is my favorite brand when it comes to lipsticks and lipglosse. I just love everything about them! The formula and the scent is so pleasing and there´s so many nice colors. Not to mention the packaging, it always feels so luxurious :)

I don´t know about you, but I tend to get very dry lips during the fall/winter months!!
(I just ordered Nivea Lip Butter Vanilla & Macadamia Kiss and Caramel Cream - can´t wait to get soft lips;)
Using a gloss when I have dry lips is so much more comfortable and I don´t go around worry about my lips looking all dry and chapped all day.. We all know that´s not a cute look ;)

I do however sometimes regret putting on gloss because the fall/winter months usually means a lot of wind! I don´t think I know of anything worse than hair in my lipgloss;-)

If you HAD to choose:

Hair in your lipgloss

or

Matte lipstick on dry lips

I actually think I would have to go with hair in my lipgloss...!

The Body Shop Color Crush Lipstick "Damson In Distress" Review & Swatches *Fall Series*

The Body Shop Colour Crush Damson In Distress swatch
The Body Shop Colour Crush Damson In Distress swatch

OK, So I've already raved around about this lipstick, and it's not for nothing! It's simply amazing?!
First off it's such a beautiful color! A nice berry shade without being to bright. Second it is easy to apply and it doesn't dry out the lips to the point that they look like a raisin. I feel that when it is time to reapply the color has only faded and not dried out. I like that.

This is The Body Shop Colour Crush Lipstick in "240 Damson in Distress", a range with high-impact color and rich moisture.

It's definitely a lipstick you can wear without liner and it's one of those you could just throw on whatever your business should be. If you want a cool combo I can recommend Mac Nightmoth lipliner - something a little different than the usual.
Another one of my Fall favorites ;)

What's your favorite BERRY lip color? :)

Fall Manicure OPI Lincoln Park After Dark & Which is Witch? *Fall Series*

OPI Lincoln Park After Dark & Which is Witch
OPI Which is Witch Nailpolish
OPI Lincoln Park After Dark & Which is Witch

I really like dark nail polish and especially now during Fall/Winter,

I opted for OPI Lincoln Park After Dark. I wanted some glitter as well and went for OPI Which is Witch on my ring fingers :)
Two coats and One coat with Fast Drying Top Coat.
(Picture No. 2 & No. 3 are after I reapplied today)
Lincoln Park After Dark is described as "Where Midnight Meets Purple".
It is so close to black, but it's not black... In the sunlight you can clearly see it has some purple to it and if you're wearing only one coat it will be even clearer:)
Such a perfect color for me and Which is Witch makes it a little glam and fun too :)
I used my new Inglot Fast Drying Top Coat and I am very pleased!
First and foremost because it actually dried SO FAST! I had never imagined, and not a scratch..
It's also very glossy - and that I love ;-)
(This is a picture from my Inglot haul, that's why my nails are French manicured;)

To me there's nothing quite like well manicured, long nails.

I haven't had gel/acrylic nails done since last Christmas (!!) so when I finally decided to treat myself with a new pair I was pretty excited :)

I used to always have long gel/acrylic nails, but after I started working as a hairdresser it was so hard to keep them nice looking at all times - most parts of the day I keep my hands in either itchy gloves or in running water. That's not the perfect ingredient for nice nails ;) Not to mention all the stains from hair dye! Yes, that happens. Even with the gloves on.
Not only this but my nails grow pretty fast so I am in need for refill after only a week and a half really. I can't stand the gap. Still I never manage to get that done though.
So I just ended up having a (way too long) break from acrylic/gel nails!

..Until last month. As I am not working at the moment I wanted to get some new nails since I could actually manage to maintain them. And I have! I have had refill done once, and last week I also treated myself with a manicure.

I should probably not have done that though - because now I am addicted!
As of today it has lasted for one and a half week and it is almost just as nice as when I left the salon! If it hadn't been for my screw up (pouring aceton on my hands) today, I wouldn't have to remove it and reapply it myself.

I genuinely suck at painting my own nails, I am just not careful enough and I certainly do not have patience enough!
I can tell you already it's not happening - I'm just finished with the first layer and here I am already typing on my keyboard writing this post - Hello scratches *SIGH*
(In the end I actually managed to finish and with a lot better result than I was hoping for;))

OPI Lincoln Park After Dark Nails

The picture above is of my nails (manicure done at the salon) after a week, so you can clearly see some scratches and it's not as glossy anymore. But it's still pretty good to be a week old! I wish I managed to do such a nice manicure, I always mess up around the edges and even though I clean up with q-tips after I still can't get it perfect, haha:) Well, I guess that nail salon have a new returning customer! ;)
I am actually going back next Tuesday, not sure whether to do refill or new ones yet, have to see how long they've grown..

I am definitely going to start getting better at treating my nails and maintaining them with nice polishes - it's so fun! I used to do gel nails myself, and I loved it. Maybe I'll start doing that again too...

How do you prefer doing your nails, yourself or do you get them done at a nail salon?

The Body Shop Colourglide Shine Lip Colour "Iced Violet" Review & Swatches *Fall Series*

A picture of The Body Shop Colourglide Lip Color Iced Violet
The Body Shop Colourglide Lip Color Iced Violet swatch
The Body Shop Colourglide Lip Color Iced Violet swatch

My last lipstick posts have been rather on the dark side, so what if you don't feel completely comfortable wearing a dark lip? Still you want something that's not screaming Summer!

Fear not, I have a wonderful piece of lipstick here to share with you! And it is one that has become an instant favorite of mine for those days I want something just a little bit more neutral than for example Cyber ;)

This is The Body Shop Colourglide Shine Lipstick in the color 05 Iced Violet.
For some reason when I hear "Iced" I think of frosted finish, I'm not a huge frosted finish fan - but I can assure you there's nothing frosted with this lippie! It's so smooth and it applies like a dream, it doesn't dry out to quickly and even though my lips are crazy dry these days it didn't feel any discomfort regarding this during the time I wore it.

"Iced Violet" is a beautiful color and I feel it's really suitable for Fall because it doesn't have that bright look to it.. It's a nice addition for those who feel more comfortable with a nude lip than with a darker lip :) It's definitely a build able color so you can wear it like a really nice sheer tint or the way I do it :)

Do you have favorite nude color for Autumn/Winter? :)

While I was waiting for the lash glue to dry my little baby came to visit! Of course that resulted in a forced photo-shoot ;)

It's been another weekend of nothingness! It's not that I crave something to do, like work or anything, but I wouldn't mind a bit of a more exciting life! Of course it's what I make of it myself and I guess I just have to accept the fact that it's a time now that there's nothing too exciting going on...

I got up rather early for a Sunday today and I was very determined to play around with some lipsticks and eyeshadows. I wanted to start early as I find it hard to do anything later in the day..! However, you know that morning coffee, it can take some time. I'm not really a morning person so I need some time to evolve from that sleepy zombie and into a normal human being. I had some lovely chit chats with a few #bbloggers while I enjoyed my coffee though, that helped ;)

I did a couple of make up looks, both with my new Mac Quad Palette and Urban Decay Ammo Palette- mainly focusing on Cranberry and Greensmoke/Satin Taupe.
I really need to just practice, practice and practice as my impaired vision makes it quite difficult to do detailed work! (Because naturally I can't wear my glasses when doing my own makeup).
I struggle the most with my left eye. When I'm going to put eye liner or eyelashes on my right eye - I would have to close it, of course. But since I have much more impaired vision on my left eye I can seriously not see a damn thing - I literally put liner on like a blind person... Can you imagine anything more annoying than that?
Gosh, I am just so grateful that I am not actually blind, that would be the end of me. Period.
So I guess I just have to get really great skills in applying makeup with a blurry vision ;)
I figured another technique today that made it a little easier for me to apply liner:)
I hope I can go back to contacts again soon, but it really doesn't help on detail work like applying makeup to my own face anyway, my eyes just can't seem to focus.
Sometimes it gives me the motivation to practice and just do it, but other times it just brings me down and I am only focusing on the things I no longer can do as easy as before.

OK, that was todays little complaining! ;-)

Do you have anything you struggle with/want to get better at when you're doing makeup?

Are there any other makeup obsessed four-eyed people out there who knows what I mean? :)
