BLOGtober 14th - Huge Inglot Haul ♡♡♡

*Nomnomnom*
....Hiiii!
*nomnom*
....I'm just *sipping some tea* trying to write this while munching on a huge chocolate muffin from my one hand and drinking tea from the other!
That's totally okay, right?...Okay or not, I'm doing it! ;)

I got back home from Oslo a few hours ago - and boy did I have one productive day!
Me and my bff got up really early and went to Starbucks for some breakfast (read: croissant) and - can you guess? Pumpkin Spice Latte of course! However I did leave with the impression that they didn't reeeally know how to make it as it wasn't much reminding of a PSL - just a liiiittle bit of cinnamon.. Hmm.. I did buy another one before going home though. Just making sure my PSL craving settles for a while (hahaha never gonna happen!).

Ok, so I'm gonna stop making this into a novel about my Starbucks experience today, and tell you about the really exciting stuff! How do you all like that? :)

BTW MY POINT WAS that we got up really early, sat down and had a wonderful breakfast at Starbucks BEFORE going to Inglot at 10:00 am in the morning, ain't that something!

We spent about 2 hours in the store and I can't see anything wrong with that ;)
Here I am super-happy with my purchases!

And what do you do after a two hour long shopping spree at Inglot? You go back to Starbucks for some afternoon (hibiscus blend) tea, of course!
We sat down with our tea and admired our purchases. What a lovely day! Not a worry in sight!

My bff went to school as she had one class to attend to - meanwhile I made sure to get my nails done - acrylic.
Later we met up at MAC & I bought a few items there as well:O (Of course CYBER had to be sold out!)
A last trip to Starbucks to make sure Pumpkin Spice Latte accompanied me in the car on our way home;)

I got home after a rather boring and long drive (still holiday traffic) a few hours later - I was so excited to try it all out tonight, but even a make-up junkie needs her rest after such a hard day......;)

A sneak preview would have to do tonight.. It's not all sorted or anything yet so it might not look too appealing - but I promise, there's some really nice shades in there;)

I filled a 20 palette and half of the powder palette. I thought it would be smart to leave some room if I want to bring it with me if I'm gonna travel and such!

Aaaaah, can't wait to put it all in the palettes :) Would have to wait until tomorrow! Of course I have an appointment early tomorrow morning & will probably not be home until afternoon, oh well, I'll survive, I hope;)

BLOGtober 13th - NOTD Champage Grey Ombré Nails

[Edit]
*OMG*
So I went to visit my bff in Oslo yesterday, I was staying until today(Monday) so we could go to the opening of Inglot Norway. I knew that she didn't have internet set up yet (she just moved in) so I finished this post before I left and scheduled it to later that evening.
What I didn't notice was that I messed up the dates, so let's jut say the scheduling didn't go as planned! I just saw that there wasn't any blogtober 13th post :(
Shhhh.. Don't tell anyone, but I am just gonna pretend this never happened and set the date to yesterday. After all it was a mistake! BLOGtober is still going strong!

Over to my NOTD: [/Edit]

I suddenly got the urge to change up my nails! I've been wearing dark polish for ages now and wanted to try something new :)
A glittery ombré was the result! It's not too obvious, I just wanted something delicate and a change from what I've been wearing lately.
It's not exactly a masterpiece - but I'm probably going to get some acrylic nails tomorrow anyway so it doesn't really matter hehe:)

Now I'm off to stay with my bff for the rest of the weekend and go with her on the opening of Inglot in Oslo tomorrow! I can't wait :)))
I don't look forward to drive for 2 hours all alone - probably with a lot of holiday traffic, but I'm just gonna crank up the music and sing my heart out, I'll be fine haha!

BLOGtober 12th - Cowboy Boots Cravings

Hiiiii guys!

I hope you all are well?
Do you have any special plans for this weekend?

I'm just staying home to relax, right now I'm having a hot cuppa homebrewed Pumpkin Spice Latte - or, a version of it at least ;)

While home relaxing, not doing anything important, I tend to go online and look at stuff I can't afford - or at least shouldn't spend my money on right now. You feel me?

My go-to online store is always www.buckle.com, I am so in love with this shop!
The sad part is that I have never ordered anything from there :( Even though their prices are ridiculously low - for me, it will always be too expensive with the shipping + taxes + fees, which are in my opinion rather high on this site...
And the more you buy, the higher the fees and shipping, so there's absolutely no middle-way here.
I could just as well go buy Miss Me Jeans at the local shop where I live - to the price of $210 - $270!

HOWEVER, I am considering buying one of these boots - aren't they all just ah-mazing?
My favorites must be #1 - #2 and #6.
#1 and #2 are both a tiny bit more on the expensive side - not compared to how beautiful they are, but compared to what my economy allows at this time;)
#6 however is very fairly priced (not so much with shipping/taxes/fees included, but still cheaper than what I would have to pay for them here at home..)

Do you have any experience with Buckle.com?

Do you have any other online stores to share with me who might sell boots like this?

I am seriously dying for these boots, especially the two with fringes on them. I don't know I'm just weak for fringes. Not that I own too much fringey stuff.. It must be the suede leather. I truly am a sucker for suede leathered boots.. and purses...

Move away from all the temptations, shall we?
I went out with my baby (a.k.a my dog) today, the weather was so divine and I just had to snap two photos of the beautiful colors :)
I'm so glad this view is just outside my house!

And here is me with my coffee wishing you all a lovely weekend!

As you can see I'm in total relaxation mode with my hair up and I've dropped the skinny jeans;) (Not that I intentionally showed my bare leg so I could tell you that - hahah just so we're clear)

Other than that I am just super excited for Monday to come so I can go to the opening of Inglot Norway!!!
I am probably going to say this exact thing tomorrow also...

I'm off to bed! Probably gonna watch some X-Files until I fall asleep - which is such a bad idea as some of the episodes are straight up scary shit! NIGHTY NIGHT! <3

BLOGtober 11th - New Tape Hair Extensions + FOTD

Happytimes!
Finally long haired again!

I am "blessed" with extremely thin and fine hair, for you who knows the curse of this hair condition it needs no further explanation.
A hair like mine will not have volume, it will not grow longer than - if you're lucky - just below your shoulders. Not that that's good thing because it will only make your hair look even thinner.
Of course I know how to make my hair look less thin and when I tell people my hair is actually really, REALLY, thin and fine - they almost always would answer me "Nooo, that can't be. You're just saying that.."

Well, again, I know how to make it look that way - and let me just tell ya, it's not a easy peasy process. Most days I have bad hair days as I am dependent on styling it every day unless I want it to look horrible. Sadly there aren't enough hours in my life to do that. Especially not in the morning.
I don't like going around having bad hair days - but that's just the life of a thin-haired girl! That sounded a lot worse than the how it is. But I like to exaggerate ;)

Hmmm what was my point except complaining about my hair......
The only positive thing is that it is straight. Of course I would need a hair straightener to make it look nice and styled, but I don't have dry, coarse, afro, etc. - I know those hair types can be a struggle for many too.

On the first pictures I have just cut my hair and filled in with some keratin extensions in front. Normally my hair is not longer to about my ears in the front - and to be honest there's not many strands of hair anyway! Some of this is because my last procedures of bleaching, so I won't be complaining too much as some of it actually is my own fault. But most of it is Mother Nature - damn you sometimes!

To round up this sad story with a happy ending - I had my friend over yesterday and she helper me put in some Tape Extensions!
It turned out so well and I AM SUPER HAPPPPPPY.
It's about two years since I had Tape Extensions and it is my all-time favorite type of extension (I've tried all of them almost)

I do have a lot of experience with extensions, so please feel free to ask me if there is any thing you want to know :)

MOTD:

Do you wear Extensions - if so, what type of hair extensions?

BLOGtober 10th - Recent Hair Care Buys for my Damaged Hair

I started my day going to the gym (yaaaay:) and I ended my day getting my new extensions done!
I was supposed to show you and do a whole HOTD/FOTD but i'm afraid it will have to wait until tomorrow as I finishes a lot later that expected and yeah - not lookin' quite smokin' enough for pics on tha internet ya know..;) I'm just gonna show you my latest hair care buys instead!

I was really good to my hair and used over a year going back to my natural blonde, but the last procedures of bleaching have left my hair preeeeetty damaged - I don't want to dwell on that for any second longer...

Let me just show you what my latest hair-saving mission looks like:

1. Redken Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine Intense // 2. Redken Diamond Oil Deep Facets Treatment // 3. Redken Iron Shape 11 Heat Styling.

I'll be posting more about these products as soon as they arrive. I'm just so excited to try out the new Diamond Oil range that I had to share it with you right away :)

Redken has always (since the very day I experienced it) been my FAVORITE brand. I love all my products from Redken and my hair is simply addicted to it.
I've used products from Redken for years personally, but I also had a lot of experience while attending the school of hairdressing - I used it every single day, both on my own hair and on my clients hair. I knew every single product from all their different ranges.

After I started working in the salon I - little by little - started using and testing out the products we have there, and even though a lot of the products are really good - for me (or for my hair), nothing is quite like my Redken:) So I've finally gone back and I feel a difference already.

However, I was desperate for some new treatments for my hair as it's just a catastrophe right now.
I'm using every product from the Extreme range, but I wanted another deep treatment.
And I needed a new heat protectant - which is absolutely necessary if you're gonna keep exposing that bleached hair to heat tools and hairdryer...!! That's really what messed my hair up...

Sooooo I'm just gonna leave it with that and I'll be telling you all about it as soon as they arrive, I can't wait!

Do you have a favorite hair care brand?

BLOGtober 9th - iHerb HAUL, Real Techniques, Tea & Pumpkin Pie Spice:)

I skipped going to the gym today eeeeek! Shame on me.
I've had a really shitty day to be honest, for several reasons, and I actually decided last night that I would be going tomorrow instead. And on Friday.
However I did go for a long, nice walk with the dog, which felt really good.

And the weirdest thing happened today!

As I was back from walking the dog, I went into the kitchen, made some food and thought/daydreamed "Aaaaaaahhh I wish my iHerb order would arrive soon, I'm so excited!"

THE VERY SECOND this was going through my head, and I am dead serious - guess who came driving up to my house and came knocking on the door? DHL of course, with my package!!

Awesome!

I ordered a couple Real Techniques brushes, Pumpkin Pie Spice and three different flavors of tea.
Originally I had only ordered ONE blush brush and ONE foundation brush - so when I saw there were TWO blush brushes I was like "OMG DID I GET ONE FOR FREE GWAAAHAA" like the crazy make-up-junkie I am........
But I guess it was my own mistake ordering, and paying for, two - thinking I was only buying one.

iHerb - 1. Me - 0.

Didn't matter really, I wanted two anyway and I can always use a double! I guess the reality is that I simply can't get enough:)

1. Twinings Chai French Vanilla Black Tea // 2. Twinings Chai Pumpkin Spice Black Tea // 3. Twinings Christmas Tea, Black // 4. Pumpkin Pie Spice // 5. & 6. Real Techniques Blush Brush // 7. Real Techniques Foundation Brush.

It was my first time ordering from iHerb and I've been thinking about ordering from there many times before - I just always thought it was gonna be crazy expensive. Shipping and all from U.S you know.
But no, actually it was really cheap and even with only THREE DAYS delivery to Norway - with DHL express international delivering on my doorstep, it was only $8! Not bad :)
I will absolutely be ordering from there again, I think their whole idea is to sell natural food and supplements, and also natural and organic make-up, skincare and other beauty products. Etc. Etc. I will be checking it out a little more because I think they actually offer quite a lot of brands and products that are cruelty free and free from animal products!

This is nothing that are exclusively for me, but if you decide to shop anything from there you can use this
COUPON CODE:  MNC188
It says that I can pass it on to my family and friends, and you're my friends right?
he he... *talk to the computer screen*
Ooookay, so let me just tell you what this coupon code is all about already;)
You will get $10 off your 1st iHerb purchase of $40 & up, or $5 off on smaller orders :-)

Let me know if you ordered something:)

Since it's #bbloggers chat right now, what' a more appropriate question than:
What is your favorite tea?

I always sit down with a hot cuppa while chatting with you guys! <3

BLOGtober 8th - Another Outfit Post. FOTD & Neutral Nude Lip MOTD

Today I went to town to see the King of Norway :)
Our town is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year so that was the reason he was guesting our town.
Sadly my camera is so out of focus so I didn't get any blog worthy pictures of the King I'm afraid, so let's focus on me instead haha!

Ok, so my outfit isn't that much different from my last OOTD post, but let me just remind I don't really do the whole "fashion" thing, you know.
I'm obsessed with my beanie, the scarf and the jeans - I will probably wear it as often as I can...
Sad as it is I don't go out much either, so when I first get the chance, I will wear it;-)
Never mind that old derelict barn in the back.

Busted, here's me in my sweatpants, as soon as I get home that's mainly what I will wear - not much fashionista about that;)
I'm feeling a bit sore after the gym yesterday, needed something comfortable!

Make-up of the day :) A little more neutral brown/bronze today:)
I wanted to wear dark lips, but it ended up looking weird and I was late so had to wipe it off and go with the nude lip instead!

My cute fall decorations in the back! Did it all my myself, sew the (faux) leaves on a thread and everything! *proud*

So far so good, I feel the #BLOGtober challenge is going better than expected :)
OK, so I'm just done with the first week, but I'm staying positive. It feels good giving some life back into to my blog again :)

Now I will be preparing some tea (I would prefer coffee, but it will probably give me trouble sleeping later) and join the #fblchat!

BLOGtober 7th - MOTD Simple Fall Look

I went to the gym this morning and guess what, I didn't die!
Hopefully I will manage to go on Wednesday as well..:) Please, self-control stay with me.

Here's my MOTD :)
A simple look to start with! Hopefully I'll feel more inspired with time and I'll feel more confident, I haven't done a lot of make-up in some time now.
Suddenly have a lot more time on my hands now and I'm able to pick up this hobby and passion of mine again :)

I used shades from my Viva La Diva Palette and the Neutral 88 Palette. Nothing to exciting, I'm a bit bored with them at the moment to be honest.. I need something different..
I've actually ordered some Sleek palettes and I'm looking forward to be playing around with them :) I've heard a lot of good stuff about the Sleek palettes...

is it something I really should look forward to? :)

I lined my lips with Dior 943 Thrilling Plum, blended it slightly inwards and applied my MAC Vegas Volt on the rest. It doesn't show to well on the pictures actually, but it was a very nice orangey fall shade :) I will probably do that combo again :)

I'm starting to get really tired of my Samsung camera - ok so it makes my skin look fairly well, smooth and nice, just need some photoshop touches on my imperfections - and closeups. But it sucks at focusing and there is absolutely nothing called macro. Well, there is, but it sucks.
It doesn't pick up color really well either, and yeah, it's no fun doing a makeup look and when you're going to take the photos they just don't turn out well.. Anyway, this is what I have for now. A few more weeks and I will be back with a new Canon, again ^^

Now I'm just gonna get a huge hot cuppa tea and watch some X-Files, tomorrow the King of Norway (yes, the actual KING) will be guesting the town where I live - and I'm so excited! I love the King so I'm definitely gonna be there to watch him in person! Wooohooo <3

BLOGtober 6th - Inglot News, Ben Nye & Lazy Sunday.

Yesterday I found out the greatest news ever!
Inglot Cosmetics are opening a store in Oslo on the 14th of October! That's just one week away :)

I'm so happy to find this out now as it's my birthday soon and I will probably be going shopping after that, hehe;) But can I wait a whole week?! Aaahhhh I can't wait!
How am I going to keep myself calm in there.. I can finally put together my own palettes and find that big fluffy brush I've been wanting forever..  A dream come true :)

What are your favorite Inglot product/s?

Today has been kind of a lazy sunday, yet I've done some chords around the house - which feels good :)
I had planned to play around with some makeup looks today and I was looking forward to putting them up on my blog - but honestly my skin has been so bad lately, and just when it seemed to get back to normal I got this breakout!
So yeah, I decided I should just leave my face all clean today. No make-up, no nothing.

I took a calming facial mask this morning and the rest of the day I've tried my best to avoid any mirrors haha!
I really love this Formula 10.0.6 series, and I actually feel it makes my skin more balanced and over all it's just good to my skin.

Also I use Basiron (Benzoyl Peroxide) when I have acne breakouts, it will leave my skin quite dry, but it's all worth it as within a week the acne will be if not gone, at least a lot better!
Right now nothing seems to help, but I'm just gonna stay positive haha :)

For my dry skin this coconut oil has become a true friend and hero. It helped me a lot on my dry skin about two weeks back, but now as I've gotten this huge breakout I don't use it that much as I rather focusing on drying my skin (acne) out basically... That's really contradictory - but it's what works for me ;)

I actually got so depressed about my skin that I went online and ordered 4 Ben Nye powders.. eehhe.. I don't know how it happened, it was so cheap so I just.. I just.. had to :)
Probably gonna take a few weeks until they arrive, aaah waiting sucks! But I can't wait to try them! I have few things to look forward to, and tomorrow I will start my new life - I'm actually gonna start going to the gym again.. Wow, wish me luck please!
If you don't hear anything from me again, it's because I died during my sit-ups, or even worse running on the treadmill.. Oh My God..

*to be continued*

BLOGtober 5th - New make-up brushes & a pumpkin-treasure!

Hiiii!

I found this crazy good deal on some cute brushes the other day, and I figured I'd get them to check if they're any good!

Syntethic make-up brushes from "Makeup Mekka" - I don't have any experience with the brand other than that my friend had just purchased some and I got to try hers.
I've been looking for some cheaper, but good brushes so that I can double up and yeah, I just wanted some new brushes really :)

I liked these brushes because they are SO soft, I haven't used them too much yet, but they seem alright.
I paid like $8 - $9 for one pack, which was really cheap, so I got two packs.

They're a 1-2 cm shorter than a regular brush. I think I wish they were longer, I don't know, but it's not really a huge problem as I just wanted some extra brushes and they fit perfectly in my everyday make-up bag :)

- Eyeshadow brush
- Angled eyeliner/brow brush
- Angled eyeshadow brush
- Blender brush
- Powder/blush brush

I didn't buy them expecting them to be the best brushes I've ever tried, but reviews say they're good, bestselling, favorite blah blah blah, so I'm just gonna give them a try and most likely I will find them perfect for my use :)

Over to my eBay treasure!
You've probably heard me complaining about there's impossible to get anything pumpkin anywhere in Norway - anything in general, but over to the pumpkin problem.
It's Fall, I want Pumpkin Spice Latte, nearest Starbucks is 1.5 hours away and they started selling the Pumpkin Spice Latte a whole MONTH too late..

ANYWAY, I'm good at tracking stuff down, so I've found the hokkaido pumpkin and the butternut squash pumpkin at a local asian-food-selling convenience store in a town 30 minutes away from me. I managed to buy 3 cans of Libby's pumpkin Puré in Sweden (I did NOT go to Sweden solely to buy that), I've managed to wait 3 weeks for my pumpkin spice to arrive from the US via eBay (which was way to expensive for a little can of spice btw) AND now finally I've managed to buy this! 2 big cans of Coffee-Mate Pumpkin Pie Creamer :D

I live in Norway so I didn't even know this existed.
You see, over here we have only ONE type of Coffee Mate, and that's the smallest can of the
original one. The plain boring one. That's it.
So you can imagine I was excited to see there were so many different flavors! I decided to get
the Pumpkin Spice one, of course.. And it arrived in only five days!

I don't even know why I get so excited, I mostly drink my coffee black. Like, BLACK.
I think it's an illness, this fall-obsession of mine.
Soon I'm gonna get all Christmas crazy too perphaps.. I saw they sell Egg-nog Latte and Mint Mocha flavors too.. That's kinda Christmasy... But let's not focus on that!

THE LAST THING I NEED, to feel complete, is what I've been searching for for years.
Pumpkin Spice Syrup.
I've even been asking the owners of my local coffee shop to check if they can order it for me (who does that?!)
But I've done my research. It's not available up here in the cold north. I wonder why, if there's anything we deserve it's hot cuppa pumpkin spice latte for gods sake!!

HOWEVER I have found it on eBay, and it can look like my search is over as I've found a reasonable deal.
The deals I've found before, and I am not joking, they either won't ship to Norway, or the shipping is at LEAST $300.. Excuse me? What is that?

Puh, if I'm gonna keep on talking like this I should start doing videos so you could understand how I'm meaning to say all this. Haha!
I mean, I say all this in all seriousness, but you know, with a hint of humour, I mean - I am not crazy for real.. But I do really love pumpkin...

Anyone else out there with an unhealthy addiction to pumpkin-flavored stuff?

Do you have a thing/food/drink/whatever that you love but that's not available in your country? Tell me about it :)
