MAC Cyber Lipstick Review & Swatches

Woohoo finally!

For some unreasonable reason I've been obsessed with this lipstick the entire Fall season and last week (or the week before that? Time goes by so freaking quickly!) I finally got my hands on it.

Do you want to hear something disgusting?

I haven't worn it once except for makeuplooks/swatching.

Seriously, isn't that a sign of hoarder tendencies?

I mean, buy stuff just for the purpose of buying stuff?

Ok, so I'm not quite there yet, and I've been wanting to wear it a hundred times, I guess it's just the fact that I haven't been doing too well lately and I have mostly spent my time at home :)

Ok, *puh* there's the answer, that's the reason... I'm not gonna show up on "Hoarders" quite yet, maybe if I just get some more cats and stop vacuuming..then maybe...WHAT AM I SAYING - I'm not that bad :)

It's a dark lipstick, and it's not a type of lipstick I would just apply and wear randomly anywhere and anytime.. For me this needs to be, not planned, but, kinda planned. I am so weird, please tell me it's not just me.

Even though I love makeup as much as I do, and I have an unhealthy obsession for lipsticks I still don't always feel confident enough to wear bold lips!

I guess it's just me being self conscious! I mean, I'm not one of those living by any special makeup-rules, I am "more is more, and more is great" - but still I clearly make rules for my self all the time..!?

Oh well, Mac Cyber is a beautiful lipstick and it actually makes me want my dark hair color back so I could look all rocked up...!

It depends on the lightning, and how you've applied it, but you can clearly see it is a beautiful dark purple/plum color :)

I lined my lips with Nightmoth and it is a perfect combo really :)

The Body Shop Colorglide Lipstick #60 Cherry Sparkle

My sister had this and after trying it I fell in love right away!

When I went to buy it I got a little insecure about the color because on the swatches done in the shop it came out looking quite orange! Orange lipstick is NOT by any means a bad thing, I just got a "few" of them already;) And it wasn´t what I was looking for this time.

I got it anyways and when I tried it at home it was like when I first tried it, beautiful!!

It´s a lovely cherry red shade with a hint of orange and gold sparkle. Ain´t that a nice combo:)

I find it very moisturizing and it applies smoothly on my lips.

Even after hours of chatting and coffe drinking it´s still just as red and I would say the staying power is pretty good.

As you can see it is a nice bright red, but not so intense. You can layer it up to be less sheer, and that makes it perfect both day and night!

I´ve fallen completely in love with this and will be using it a lot !

Viva La Diva Nude Lipstick Swatches & Review

This is one of the few (read: only) budget beauty brands I can find where I live (except Maybelline, Maxfactor, Loréal,  etc. - but those don´t count;).

I think the intention for this brand is reaching young girls and young teens, girls who have newly been introduced to makeup. 

At least that´s what it looks like based on the design, the name, and the price. It´s very affordable compared to the other brands available. 

It´s a swedish brand, and it´s stated on the packaging that the´re "against animal testing". If this is correct or not, I haven´t checked any further. But I hope they don´t state something like that on their products and still use ingredients tested on animals (??).
It also contains "softening Vitamine-E".

It has however some gems hidden behind that "girl-trying-makeup-for-the-first-time" image.

I really enjoy their lipsticks and eyeshadows, they´re both highly pigmented, and I feel you get a good piece of product when thinking about how affordable they are!

Price is about $12 / £8 (this is very cheap in Norway...;)

The packaging is cute. It´s clean and doesn´t feel "cheap" - no plastic! It also has "engraved rhinestones" on the top lid - cute!

This is lipstick #18 in the shade "Fudge". It glides super smoothly on my lips, and it has a light fresh scent to it. It is a very light nude shade, and can come off a little too pale if you´re applying to much on a very bronzed face.  

It is a very nice color, and the nude collection comes in several nude shades, pink, beige, brown etc. 

When it comes to the formula, I´m positively surprised. It can however be a little dry, but I would say that if you prep your lips before applying it won´t be a huge problem.

I have only tried two of the nude shades from this brand, and I don´t know how the staying power is for the other colors, let´s say for example a dark red or pink shade.

I would say that I have to re-apply product throughout the day. I personally don´t find that a problem when thinking about the price and the light shade. Also I talk much at work and drink a lot of coffee and water throughout the day so I would re-apply anyway.

It would be more annoying if it was a red shade, because they can easily look very bad if they get "worn out" during the day.

Is this my favorite Nude Lipstick?

No, it´s not. But it´s a perfect addition to my collection. This is a lipstick I would bring anywhere and not be afraid to for example loose when out on a party, or traveling etc.

Will I be purchasing again?

Yes, easily. It´s simply a lipstick for everyday use.

Medium Tan, this is the one I wear everyday!

But when I go to Asia and get more tanned, I guess I could go on to a shade darker :-)

I´ve applied it so that you can see the color with a lot of product, and the color when its faded out..

I have so much good things to say about these products..

Don´t really know how to recommend them enough to you guys..? I guess you would just have to try for yourself :)

I feel I can give a honest opinion now after trying the products out for so long! 

You see, my problems with mineral foundations are always that I feel they´re wonderful the first one-two weeks, then after that they just get worse and worse and I get more and more tired of using it because they don´t work for me anymore...

Are there anyone else that´s experiencing these problems with the use of mineral foundations, or just any foundations?

(My guess would be that there´s because of the change on ones skin, first its fine, then it´s dry, then it´s maybe oily, then dry again... I dunno, do you?)

Anyway, I was really scared this would be the same thing.. But I have to say, after using this more or less everyday for at least one month now, they still work great for me :)

But there´s one thing, IF my skin feels very dry, I do put on some dry oil or moisturizer before applying the foundation, it won´t stay on if else..

I really just care about two things when using mineral foundation.

COVERAGE & HOW LONG IT LASTS.

Ofc then there´s natural ingredients etc. etc. etc. and that´s great..!

But it doesn´t help me if the products are 20%natural or 100% natural, it still has to cover and last!

Mineral Hygienics does that!!!!!! :D

Would I use just the mineral foundation when going out to party? No.

Why?

Well you see, I´m one of those girls loving to dress up and "natural" just doesn´t work for me when I wanna look amazing when I´m out for a drink ;) ha ha.

Oh yes, sometimes I guess I probably look like a dragqueen to some, with my extreme black smokey eyes and longest lashes ever, including my pink glittery claw-like fingernails.. Not to forget my overdone teased hair and curls.... ha ha oh well ;)

ANYWAY, not to speak bad of the mineral foundation, but If I were to use this when going out, I would apply liquid foundation first, then go over with the kabuki brush and mineral foundation.. You get it? extreme coverage and longer lasting makeup;-) More is more, and I love me some more :-)

BUT when I´m not really going out that often.. So this is rarely a problem for me. I mostly work and sit at home, maybe going out for a coffee with gf´s.. I still don´t like the natural look, but I tone it down a bit.. And I like the look mineral foundation give me:) 

Believe me, I´m a DIOR SCULPT slave, it´s amazing, but very thick.. Even I like to have a lighter feel on my skin sometimes! Mineral Hygienics give me that ^^

Also it´s important it stays on even through the stressed days at work.

I like that it doesn´t get oily when I get warm when working in the salon, it stays on! OK, maybe it doesn´t give that extreme coverage I would prefer, but I´d rather have a few red marks on my skin than a foundation thats cakey or having white spots in my face! Which I, sadly, have experienced way to many times..

You know, when working in a hairsalon, I don´t have time to touch up my makeup all the time!

And I don´t need to either with the Mineral Hygienics foundation :-)

It´s also great for those days when I´m just staying at home, not doing anything special.. I would prefer to do my whole face and look fab, but I just don´t have the energy sometimes.. So I end up not doing my makeup at all, and I feel like crap all day because I look like crap..:P I just don´t bother putting on the liquid foundation and the setting powder and the normal pressed powder, and not to look flat I need bronzer and blusher and concealer and whatever,....thats not happening, not very often at least, when im relaxing at home alone..

But with the mineral foundation and the kabuki brush, I can fresh up in just a few swipes..:)

OK, I doesn´t look like a princess and I would probably not go out in public with so little makeup on, but I feel so much better :-) And if I were to go out, I would ofc just swipe a little more, THEN I would be ready to go outside ;) It´s so easy :)

Oh So Fresh - Make Up Store Blush.

I´ve been looking for a coral/orangey toned blush lately, and the one that really caught my eye was this one from Make Up Store - Oh So Fresh.

After I´ve been using it for a while, the shade doesn´t seem as glittery and fresh in the box anymore, but it´s absolutely fresh when applied! :)

The next coral/orangey blush I want to try out is the new Lancome mousse blush, the color looks so delightful! Anyone knows which one I´m talking about? ;-)

Anyone else seen it? What do you think about it?

I love the way it's filmed and the editing, the slow motion scenes, and the sountrack is perfect.
I get that 80's movie feeling.. without that being a bad thing!
I love the main character, his style, his behaviour, the way he almost says nothing at all... The way he walks, the way he puts his hands in the pockets of his jacket.. Even the toothpick! :)
And I like some violence...;)
Everything is so thoroughly well done, and ofc Ryan Gosling really does a great job acting..:) OMMMMMG HE´S SO HOTTTTTTT <3
