New In: Maybelline Fit Me Foundation & Eyeliners

Maybelline products, review of fit me foundation and eyeliners
My holy grail brown eyeliner was from Bare Minerals, God how I loooooved that liner!! I haven´t been able to find it again after I needed to repurchase and I´ve really felt the need of a new brown liner in my life.
So with that goal in mind I went to my local drugstore and saw that it was a 30% off discount on ALL Maybelline items! I found EXACTLY what I was looking for, a larger pencil with a blending sponge and a twist-up liner which was pretty similar to my old Bare Minerals one.
The only thing I´m missing is a blending tool on the twist-up liner..

Because of the discount I decided to try the matte liquid liner and the Fit Me foundation too.
I´ve probably bought 10 different foundations the past months, high and low end, very few has matched my needs.. This time of the year really messes my skin up and not even eyeshadow is working the way it normally would..(?!?!)

NEW IN: Mac Lipsticks & Lipglosses

New In: MAC Blankety *Review & Swatches*

Mac Blankety, a delicate pigmented lipstick with an amplified finish.
It´s creamy with a pinky beige nude shade, and one swipe is really all you need!

It´s definitely one of my must-have nudes from Mac and it looks absolutely gorgeous with a darker lipliner!

Do you have this color from Mac?
What is you must-have nude shade?

How to treat your damaged hair:) Joico K-Pak Shampoo & Condtioner Kit!

As a hairdresser at heart I love recommending products for your hair!
I really love this shampoo and conditioner, it smells amazing and makes my hair amazing.
If your hair is damaged from let´s say bleaching and heat tools - you should try this :)

Came in this handy bag! Nice for traveling!!

This shampoo and conditioner doesn't weigh your hair down, so it fits those of us with fine hair. It also has a nice rich and creamy formula, which also makes is perfect for thicker and coarser hair!
It is supposed to repair damage, and they claim to go straight to the damaged cuticle filling in lost amino-acids, restoring the elasticity, strength and shine of the hair.

Besides Redken, Joico is one of my favorite brands!

If you are looking for a good quality shampoo/conditioner for your damaged hair, I would definitely give this a try :) It locks in moisture as well as reconstructing your damaged hair and split ends!
Combine with a good reconstructing mask about every fourth hair wash, and maybe the "split end mender" from Joico and you are off to a good start towards healthy hair!

Have you tried this?
If you have a hair care routine post on your blog I´d love to see it! :) xx

*Makeup Haul* Smashbox Pore Minimizing Primer + Eye palette, Lancome Color Ideal Foundation & Guerlain Kohl liner

On my last makeup haul I was searching for a new mattifying and pore minimizing primer, of course managed to forget all about it and came home without it.

But as the makeup addict that I am, I had to go out in a new search for this product. I was in desperate need for something giving me matte skin as the Bare Minerals Bare Skin foundation was giving me serious trouble when it came to the not-so-cute-dewy-face-look.
Also since I have major problems with my pores I had the Smashbox primer in mind, and ended up getting that. I also ended up getting a few other things. What a shock.

In my defense, it was a sale on all three things (of course not on the only thing I was supposed to get), and they were all super cheap.

- 1. Smashbox Photo Finish Pore Minimizing Primer.

Still trying this one out and before I say anything super positive about it I would like to test it and see if it really is as good as everyone raving on about! First impression is quite good though!
It has the same color and texture as Benefit POREfessional, if that tells you anything. I´m a super fan of that primer so that is definitely a plus!
Will do a review on this later if that is wanted? :)

- 2. Lancome Color Ideal Precise Match Skin Perfecting Make-up, Foundation #3.

As summer is approaching my skin is acting up in all different kinds of ways and it seems it have different needs every day. With means I am in need of different coverage, formula, color, texture, every day. One foundation is simply not enough for me.
This was half of the original price, they had my color and I though it was a great (and cheap) way to try out yet another foundation.
It did not disappoint at all and I really, really, really like it!
Light, but gives enough coverage, nice color, evens out, not too dry or dewy.
Have you tried this foundation?

- 3. Smashbox Full Exposure *travel size* Eyeshadow Palette.

I´ve been wanting this palette for ages, but I never justified getting it.
Apparently all it took was it to be "travel size" and then it was okay. And that it was on sale.
The palette is very pretty and it is perfect for summer and holiday. It is small and takes up minimal space. And that IS a really good argument for getting it, if you look away from the fact that I will be bringing this small, cute, practical and perfect palette ALONG with I guess at least two other normal sized ones.... So the point is sadly not there for me.. BUT is has some beautiful shades and I would love to do a swatch for you :)

- 4. Guerlain Terracotta Kohl Loose Powder #Noir

This is an old favorite of mine. I´ve had this for years, but one day the application tool broke inside the bottle and it was impossible to use (still with a lot of product inside). I never purchased a new one because of the simple fact, it is pretty expensive, but this one was at least 50% off so I just had to get it :D
It is easy to use and it last for hours. the "wand" makes it easy to create a "cat eye" and the packaging is simply gorgeous.

I love haul posts, so if you´ve done any purchases recently please leave your links and I will have a look!

GHD V Gold Classic Kit - new straightener for my hair :)

I was in need for a new hair straightener as my old one decided to die on me.
There´s nothing like a good quality hair straightener so I was super happy when I came across this offer. This kit has the same price as the straightener alone!
I love GHD straighteners and it is so much better for my hair than the cheap ones you can get everywhere...

I got the classic styler, paddle brush (sooo pretty!), two sectioning clips and a bottle of heat protectant.
I´ve tried the heat protectant a few times, but I don´t really know what to say about it yet.. I don´t think I´m a huge fan. It smells kinda like male perfume.. and my hair does not get soft at all... But the paddle brush is super nice and so good. Heat protectant or not, it was a pretty good deal!

The classic gold styler is suitable for all types of hair and lengths, which is nice for me because of my super thin/fine short natural hair, and for when I wear thick long extensions :)

It heats up in a matter of seconds, ready to use! You can´t choose how high or low you want the temperature, and that might be a con if you need to protect your hair a bit extra. But then simply this is not the straightener for you. I try to be careful with heat tools in general, so I don´t mind..:)

What type/brand of hair straightener do you use/is your favorite?

New In: Bare Minerals, Anastasia Beverly Hills & MAC

Bare Minerals, Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, Mac Lipstick, Mac Lipglass Review

Have a look at my latest purchases!

- Bare Minerals Bare Skin Liquid Foundation in "Bare Nude"
- Bare Minerals Concealer in "Medium 2"
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in "Dark Brown"
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade in "Dark Brown"
- MAC Lipstick "Faux"
- MAC lipstick "Blankety"
- MAC Lipglass "Fashion Whim"

I am so pleased with everything! Anastasia Brow Wiz is a repurchase. It's a must have in my makeup bag.
The dip brow pomade has been on my wish list for a long time, and it did not disappoint! Definitely doing a separate post on this one!
Trying out a new foundation, so far I like it, but I need to find a good setting powder that goes perfect with this foundation. It´s a little on the shiny side.
Both of the Mac lipsticks and the lipglass has been on my wishlist for a long time, and finally they´re mine!
Gorgeous products, I will of course be doing a separate swatch post on these :D

Do you have any of these products, what do you think?
Do you want to see a separate post on any of these products?

Maybelline Makeup & Shiseido Skincare *HAUL*

Another drugstore haul, taking advantage of the 2 for 3 offer to try out some new products!

*HAUL* Redken, Joico, Tangle Teezer, Anastasia, Mineral Hygienics.

I haven´t been too obsessed about caring for my hair lately, and I decided to do something about it and treated my hair with some new products :-)

Skincare Formula 10.0.6 Acne Treatment *Review* & a fun Chanel Lipgloss Treat.

I recently had to get a new foaming cleanser for my face and as usual I ended up with a few extra items too..;-)

1. Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer, Color Correcting Adjust. ($38)
Green-toned to reduce redness.

I am not completely convinced by the Smashbox Adjust Primer yet, I really wanted it to work but it doesn't do miracles for me, sadly.
I'm gonna give it a week and if I don't see any clear changes I will stop thinking it is a "adjusting" primer for "reducing redness" and just think of it as a regular primer. I just can't take the disappointment every time I use it...:(

2. Formula 10.0.6 Rescue Me Blemish Care Anti-Imperfections Gel.

One of the few products I still haven't tried from this series yet. I usually don't let products with that exact purpose get to me because I find them rarely to work for my skin. However I have such positive experience with this brand so I wanted to give it a try.
I can swear it calmed down my acne and I will continue to use this every day:)

3. Formula 10.0.6 Best Face Forward Daily Foaming Cleanser. ($5.99)

It's the third time I'm repurchasing this and from now on I am going to make sure I never run empty again without having a back up! I am sure this actually does work for my skin and it might not be a miracle cure, but if it can help keep my skin/acne on a balanced level I will be ok with that:)

4. Chanel Glossimer 176 Crushed Cherry Lipgloss (£21)
5. Chanel Glossimer 175 Savage Grace Lipgloss (£21)

These two glosses was this hauls fun products! I was honestly looking for a purple Dior gloss from the Fall collection - it was sold out of course. Since the disappointment was to huge to handle, I needed to buy these to be able to drive back home;)
They are absolutely stunning and so perfect for everything *oh my gosh*.
I couldn't decide which one to get, the colors isn't too far from each other but one of them has glitter and the other has not. Reason enough to get both of them. I'm sorry:)
I have to admit the colors were a bit hard to capture on camera, but you should know by now I'm going to do a whole post dedicated to these delicious looking glosses anyway - so fear not, detailed swatch post is coming up ;-)

A little about the skincare products: As some of you are aware I complain a lot about my struggle with acne, and it isn't for no reason. The last couple of months has just been crazy. Just when I hope it is going to calm down, I get all excited and then suddenly it has broken out even worse. When it actually does calm down for maybe a couple of days it doesn't really help because I'm left with scars and red marks that is not going to go away. And then the next day it's back all agressive, sore and fiery again.
I have stopped asking for advice because I just have to accept that it is actually a skin disease, one that lives it's own life, on it's own premises.
I don't eat crap, I don't drink, I don't smoke, OK so I don't work out that freaking much but I refuse to believe that is the reason I have acne. I'm stressed out and yeah I know that can make it worse, but come on.
I remove my makeup every night. I cleanse my face morning and night, everyday, I don't use oily creams and I moisturize and the days I don't have to wear makeup I don't.  Blah blah blah blah.
Why, god, why.

I know this is something that is easy to relate to for you who struggle with acne too, and that is why the few times I actually come across products that I feel helps me out just a liiittle bit, I'm gonna share it:)

I have talked about this brand before, and it is in no way a miracle product (I refuse to use that word), but I feel I can actually see a slight difference when using these products.
So I used this Everyday Foaming Cleanser during this summer (a time when my acne is much better in general) and it just "recently" (about 2 months ago) got empty. I didn't get a new one right away because it's not available in my town where I live. Instead I bought the Effaclar Cleanser (review coming up when it is used up).
I've lost count, but I think it was about 2 months ago when I started having these bad breakouts.. I'm not saying it was purely because I stopped using the Everyday Foaming Cleanser, but who knows. However I suddenly realized this and went to buy a new one right away.
I won't say this is a miracle brand, and I won't say it has everything to do with this (my skin can easily play tricks with me - changing from the one day to the other) but I will say that the few days I've used this now I have felt a difference..

I had a very agressive and fiery breakout the other day, I took the Rescue Me! Blemish Care on before I went to bed and I can swear it felt a lot more calmed down the next morning, it even felt like it had dried out a little bit too. It is a clear gel with a very pleasing scent. It doesn't feel stingy on my skin, and a little goes a long way!

...All I am dreaming about lately is to leave for a sunny holiday :) I hope to manage a trip to perhaps Thailand or something in about 4 months.. It's amazing what a relaxing trip like that can do to you, to your mind, your soul, not to mention what it can do to your skin. Ah I am seriously longing for clear skin right now. And my mind can also seriously need some positive recharging.

BLOGtober 29th - Sleek Makeup Eyeshadow Palette Haul

Woooohooo finally, I have forgotten how many weeks I´ve been waiting for these goodies, it took FOREVER!!

I´m sorry, but the damn customs couldn´t keep their hands off (hence the delay I guess) of course they had to check my eyeshadows;P Opened (and even ripped!) the packaging and all... Come on, I mean, let´s be serious, it´s not like I ordered a bunch of stuff from an unknown brand made in the jungles of Colombia....if you know what I mean.. ANYWAY here it is at least, and let´s just all take a moment and think about that lovely feeling you get when something you´ve been waiting for arrives in the mail...<3

So far I´ve only tested the Sunset palette, it was that one and Acid that I´ve been wanting the most. But it was so cheap, and I have to pay so much for shipping anyway so I could just as well order more right away :)
I haven been too obsessed with fall so there was nothing in me that wanted to play with pink, green, orange and yellow neon colors... Weird, I know, but I´d rather do something with the colors from Sunset or Bad Girl! :)

FORMULA 10.0.6 - Skincare, Makeup, Bikini & Eyelash haul!

Hey everyone! I´m looking forward to tonights #bbloggers chat :)
Join us, if you haven´t already :) #bbloggers twitter chat

Wow, another haul, seems like it´s the only thing I´m doing lately...;P This is in fact my latest haul from during the weekend, but I have a few haul posts that have ended up in the draft drawer and still haven´t been posted.. So I have still a few goodies to show you ;-)

eBay lashes, Formula 10.0.6, IsaDora Matte powder, Maybelline 24hr Stay Powder, Batiste Brown Dry Shampoo, Neon Pink & Green Bikini!

FINALLY!! While I was studying at the hairdressing school last year, I lived in Oslo. I will not bragand say this is a shopping metropole, but there is a larger variety and selection of products in the stores there compared to the godforsaken town I live in now.

So as I was saying, last year when living in Oslo I came across this brand Formula 10.0.6 at the local drugstore. I liked the packaging and the price so I grabbed the "So Totally Clean" and "One Smooth Operator". I didn´t have any expectations... (a part from the highest expectations ever, as always when trying out new skincare products;).....

I used it for a while and.... I got so amazed, it was the best thing ever, my face was lovingggg it! :)

The months went by, I finished school and moved back home. My products were empty and when looking for new ones to repurchase - couldn´t find it anywhere! Even when I was in Oslo (which is quite often) I couldn´t find it. Now I didn´t really remember the name of the brand anymore and started thinking it might had been discontinued (I hadn´t heard of the brand before!) and when going to the drugstore I found similar products and seriously thought I had forgotten how it looked like, and bought a product that I actually thought was the one!

Oh man was I wrong.

***Keep reading (under the picture) for the rest of my heartbreaking and desperate search (
!!) for Formula 10.0.6*** ;-)

Swatches & Ingredients:
So Totally Clean Deep Pore Cleanser // Left: Best Face Forward Daily Foaming Cleanser (Passionfruit, Chamomile, Green Tea) // Middle: One Smooth Operator Pore Clearing Face Scrub (Zinc, Oat, Pumice) // Right: Picture Perfect Day Gel Moisturizer With SPF 15 (Guava, Vitamine C, Chamomile).

I remembered the words "smooth", "so clean" and then I started googleing. It took me like 3.5 seconds and there it was.......! I HAD FOUND IT, and it all came back to me, OFC it was FORMULA 10.0.6!!  I found it online but didn´t want the hassle ordering online, and on the other hand I was flat broke... BUT, BUT, BUT long story short, eh-he-he, I was in Oslo on Friday and I passed a drugstore similar to the one where I had bought the products the first time, I literally, stopped the second I saw it and walked backwards to the entrance, as I opened the door my eyes were zooming in and scanned the whole store... OH-EM-EFFING-GEE. IT.WAS.THERE. I bought the same two products I had used before and also a foaming cleanser for everyday use as the scrub is a bit hard on my faketan haha;) and also a day cream with SPF:) Sadly they didn´t have the mud masks, which I am seriously considering ordering online right now...

The reason why I´m so over ecstatic about this brand is really just because it has turned out to be quite the mission for me to find these products again, and I was just so relieved when I finally found them - so i´m making a big deal out of it;)

I hope my face is still in love - we´ll see soon enough:)

Also another thing that makes me smile - the price is nice! You´ll get a fair amount of product compared to the price, I think the packaging/design is super-cute. Formula - great.
I love the scent of the products, and my face feels clean after using them.

Have you tried any of the products from Formula 10.0.6? Which one is your favorite?

Have you tried the mud masks?Did they do any wonders on your skin?

I am totally addicted to fake lashes. Even though I have had a long period without them now (a combination of way to short amount of time in the morning, lazyness, lack of good lashglue, and the problems I have with my eyes)

Usually I wear Red Cherry or Ardell lashes, but I also buy a lot from eBay, good quality lashes for such a low cost. This time I ordered some natural strip lashes with invisible strip. They´re comfortable to wear and is perfect for everyday use at work.

Also couldn´t resist that delicious pink and green bikini, they had so many different colors I want to get them all! But pink goes first..;)
Mattifying powder is a must, and excited to try a coloured dry shampoo! It´s still a little to light for my haircolor, but works well if not sprayed on the top layers ;)

Makeup Haul Thailand & Malaysia

I might have forgot all about this post.. :O Do not ask me why something as huge as this can be forgotten, but here we go :)

This is a small selection of what I was shopping on my vacation in Asia (last summer;)
I´m willing to go back JUST for the beauty brands and products....

The BB Cream on bottom left is the best I´ve tried ever, I would actually dare to say it´s better than my Dior Sculpt Foundation, not kidding, so for you guys who´s looking for a BB Cream that doesn´t cover up - don´t buy this. But for you that want coverage, but not the heaviness a foundation will give you - try it, at least mix it with your foundation. It lasts all day! I´m serious, I won´t use it no more, because I don´t want it to finish, and I can´t get it anywhere, not even online. Ffffffff.....
Guerlain Summer in the City Bronzing OMG it so pretty!
Victorias Secre gloss tubes, I was buying the coconut and vanilla perfume, but had to leave it because the saleswoman told me I couldn´t buy it afterall as I was boarding a connecting flight :(

Didn´t find much makeup in Vietnam really, I had to buy babypowder tho´ ;)

Nailpolishes from various markets in Bangkok, lovely shades! Cheap, not the best quality, but...cheap:)
Baby Powder... A must.. Smells so heavenly and fresh, especially the one with cool mint! Love using it on my face matting down foundation..
Lots of lipsticks, glosses, eyeshadows, lashes, blushes, liners, everything :)

Aaah I love makeup shopping in Asia :)
